i2 Construction Announces 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

i2 Construction is proud to announce that we will be holding our 6th Annual Chipping in for Charities Golf Tournament on September 18, 2023, at Pradera Golf Course in Parker. Over the last 5 years, our Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $200,000 for local charitable organizations.

Vince Brush’s Remarkable Story

The 2023 Golf Tournament will be benefiting Vince Brush. As a business coach, Vince became an essential member of the i2 Construction team, coaching effective teamwork, communication, leadership, and management. He has worked with the i2 family one-on-one and through workshops and seminars. Vince was also heavily involved in coaching baseball, football, and basketball for children aged 7-12. Vince is someone who takes care of others and seeing them thrive is a natural passion for him. On January 30, 2022, Vince Brush survived a massive hemorrhagic stroke, spending 47 days at Swedish Medical Center, and has been working to recover since. His journey to recovery is ongoing due to having limited mobility on his left side. i2 is honored to have our 2023 golf tournament benefit someone who has given so much to us and is active within our community.

The Day That Changed Everything

“On February 1, 2022, at the age of 61, I woke up from a severe hemorrhagic stroke that had taken place a few days earlier. My life and everything that I had known drastically changed. The stroke occurred on the right side of my brain leaving the left side of my body paralyzed. This meant that I was unable to walk. Being an avid athlete and exerciser for the last 40 years was gone, as was my house, my ability to work, and my ability to drive. The good news was, I did not die from the stroke. I have two boys, ages 15 and 19, I was still able to see them, but I am not the active and involved father that they once knew. I was immediately thrust into a world of therapy and neurological health care” explains Vince Brush.

“When i2 approached me about the fantastic things they have done with their golf tournaments and how I was voted the recipient of this year’s golf tournament, I was overcome with complete disbelief, joy, and happiness. This will help me get my life back, be able to drive again, get a house again, and be able to be with my boys as they grow up. I will be able to see them graduate high school and college.”

Thanks to the i2 team, numerous sponsors, and 144 golfers, last year’s selected charity, The Warrior Bonfire Program, received a $50,000 donation to help provide opportunities that improve the lives of the enemy combat-wounded veterans (Purple Heart recipients) on their lifelong journey of recovery and healing. This year, with your generous support, i2 hopes to surpass this amount!
