The Lasting Impact of Playing an 18-Hole Round of Golf
Thanks to the i2 Team, numerous sponsors, and 144 golfers, the Kempe Foundation received a $40,000 donation to help children and families impacted by neglect and trauma. On September 20th, i2 held its 4th Annual Chipping In For Charities Golf Tournament, which sold out for the 3rd year in a row. All 33 of i2’s employees donated an item to the event, and 10 employees acted as volunteers at The Club at Pradera golf course.
The golf tournament is memorable: it was held on a beautiful, sunny day filled with camaraderie among the dozens of people who came out for a good cause. While the event is over, its impact is just beginning, thanks to the money raised for The Kempe Foundation. The organization’s CEO, Jon B. Kruljac, had this to say to the i2 Team, “We wanted to express our sincere gratitude for your support, compassion, and your commitment to giving back to our community. It is so encouraging to see a corporate culture that is so engaged in fulfilling the unmet needs of individuals and organizations. Kempe is privileged and honored to be the beneficiary of this year’s i2 golf tournament. I smile to myself, thinking of next year’s recipient and how much your largesse will impact their worthy cause and mission. The world could use more i2 Constructions, but we will just be grateful for having been introduced to you- thank you.”
Since 2013, Kempe has supported more than 8,312 families through its SafeCare program and provided extensive training for child welfare workers, foster parents, and educators, as well as 40,000 hours of youth programs, along with many other contributions in Colorado.
i2’s President, Scott W. Farrell, said, “ i2’s management and employees wanted to truly make an impact on the community in which we live. The golf tournament raises money, fosters a sense of community, and is a great way for the industry to make a difference for local charities.”
i2 has now raised $148,000 for four charities, including Brain Matters, the Dirt Coffee Bar, and Family Homestead. i2 plans to host its 5th tournament next year, and planning for the next event begins in November 2021.
